Hi! My name is Jess and I'm a craftaholic. As long as I can remember, I have loved to create, whether it's crafting or cooking or building. One of my favorite phrases is '"I could MAKE that." I grew up in San Diego, CA. I spent my 20s living in the middle of nowhere in Colorado, up in the mountains, away from all the conveniences and busy-ness that I grew up with. After meeting my husband, we moved to Loveland, Ohio and it is a perfect blend of city and country. I love being near rivers and giant trees yet also having city amenities.
While I was in Colorado, I decided to focus my crafting into 1 or 2 things (although I still make quilts and all sorts of things for myself and friends and family). I first opened Mountain Sky Jewelry on Etsy in 2010. After my twin niece and nephew were born, I wanted to make them something really special. I was inspired to try to make them sock monkeys and they came out so darling that I just had to make more! At first, I added them into my jewelry shop, but as sales picked up, I moved them here to their own shop in 2014.
I am so grateful for people who value handmade goods made by the individual and small businesses. I am honored to be so supported in doing what I love to do!
I hope my crafts make people smile and that they love them. I always hope it will be their favorite thing ever! I love to talk with people, so if you have any questions, thoughts, concerns, feedback, requests, or just want to say hi, don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my shop and read my story. I hope you are having a great day!
